FEATURES
The 2007 Guastaferro Taurasi Primum Riserva is a powerful and concentrated red wine, produced only in exceptional vintages. This vintage is crafted from some of the oldest vines in Italy, including a 1.5-hectare plot of pre-phylloxera stock, some of which are 150-220 years old. The wine is described as a "beastly heavy weight" at 18 years old, bursting with thunderous notes of black cherry liqueur, spiced dark plum, damp forest floor, used saddle leather, pan iron, black olive, and volcanic ash. The palate is supple and deceptively ripe, with delicious fruit and ample acidity masked by a massive wall of fruit, and succulent, ripe tannins leading to an endless finish. Wine Enthusiast notes aromas of mature black-skinned fruit, baking spice, new leather, a whiff of oak, and a balsamic note. The smooth, full-bodied palate delivers ripe black cherry, raspberry jam, sweet baking spice, and licorice alongside big, rounded tannins. This wine has a fantastic ability to age, with a drinking window extending to 2042+. 【Crafted from ancient pre-phylloxera vines, offering immense depth and aging potential】
