FEATURES
The 1994 Domaine Francois Jobard Meursault Poruzots 1er Cru is a white Burgundy from a highly respected producer. François Jobard, and now his son Antoine, are known for crafting some of the best Meursaults, held in high esteem by other respected vignerons. Jobard wines are typically aged in barrel for a lengthy period and spend time *sur lie*, often bottled with a reasonable dose of sulfur to ensure longevity. In their youth, these wines are often tightly wound with an intense mineral structure that softens with extended bottle aging. The Meursault Poruzots is a fine wine that blossoms with age, with some vintages showing incredible longevity, potentially tasting like a 15-year-old when it's actually 25 or 30. Expect notes of oak, butter, vanilla, citrus (lemon, lime), minerals, honey, smoke, and tree fruits (apple, pear, peach). 【Renowned for longevity and mineral intensity】. Given its age, this wine should be handled with care. Old corks can be fragile, so a Durand opener or similar tool is recommended. While Jobard wines are known for their longevity, a gentle decant might be beneficial to allow it to open up, but monitor closely to ensure it doesn't fade. Serve at a cool cellar temperature, around 12-14°C (53-57°F).
