FEATURES
The 2019 Anne Gros Chambolle-Musigny La Combe d'Orveau is a wine of remarkable elegance and finesse, often described as having the potential to rival a Grand Cru. This vintage presents a beautiful ruby color, typical of its light soil. On the nose, it offers expressive and perfumed aromas of red fruit like redcurrant, raspberry, pomegranate, and strawberries, intertwined with delicate floral nuances of rose, violet, and even pink roses, along with hints of spice and mineral. The palate is velvety smooth, showcasing elegant and delicate fruit with great precision, and a lovely hedonistic grace. While youthful, it possesses an intense yet finessed character, with balanced tannins and a refreshing line of acidity that speaks to the vintage's cooler aspects. 【 Could easily pass as a Grand Cru 】 Food Pairing Suggestions: This versatile red Burgundy pairs wonderfully with roasted poultry, such as duck or guinea fowl, as well as roasted red meats like lamb or beef. It also complements game dishes and a variety of mild cheeses beautifully. Event Suggestions: This wine is perfect for a sophisticated dinner party or a special celebration, offering both immediate enjoyment and the promise of further development. While approachable in its youth, it is recommended to drink it between 2 to 10 years to fully appreciate its elegant texture, with some suggesting it will drink very well from 2030 onwards.
BACKGROUND
