FEATURES
Laherte Frères is a family estate established in 1889, now under the leadership of Aurélien Laherte, the seventh generation. They practice biodynamic and organic farming, with a strong emphasis on expressing the full terroir. The Ultradition Extra Brut is a flagship cuvée, embodying quality and exceptional value. It is a blend of 60% Pinot Meunier, 30% Chardonnay, and 10% Pinot Noir, incorporating 40% reserve wines. Primary fermentation takes place in a combination of foudres, tanks, and barrels, with partial malolactic fermentation. This Champagne undergoes a longer aging period *en tirage* than their standard Brut and is finished with a dosage of 4.5 g/l. The label is a reproduction of an original family design.
This Champagne offers a refined aromatic profile featuring white peach, apple, bread dough, chalky soil tones, and delicate Meunier floral notes. Critics describe orchard fruit, chamomile, dried herbs, and crushed rocks on a mid-weight, vinous palate. It possesses bright acidity and a distinct chalky minerality. Other tasting notes include green apple, pear, yellow apple, brioche, toast, nutty undertones, citrus, lemon, grapefruit, yeast, cream, and bread yeast. The wine is crisp, full-bodied, and complex, with excellent balance, a refined mousse, and a long, focused, and elegant finish. Some also note an earthy texture and lemon peel characteristics. 【A Pinot Meunier-led grower Champagne showcasing biodynamic farming and a refined, mineral-driven style】.
