FEATURES
The 2009 Parusso Barolo Bussia Riserva Etichetta Oro is a testament to careful selection, crafted from Nebbiolo grapes grown in the prestigious Bussia area of Monforte d'Alba. This Riserva is exclusively produced in optimal vintages, promising extraordinary emotions and a grand structure thanks to its extensive cellar aging. The winemaking involves a long maceration and spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts, followed by a minimum of 18 months in small oak barrels and nearly five years of bottle aging.
This Barolo presents a deep garnet red colour. The bouquet bursts with ripe fruit, dark cherry, plums, blackberry, and mint. On the palate, expect huge, ripe tannins that echo the fruity notes, alongside hints of sweet strawberries, menthol, tar, and a "new world style." Some detect a unique "juju fruit" character, rich sweet plum and cherry compote, balanced by vibrant acidity and fine, sandy tannins. Intense aromas of dried rose petals, chocolate pralines, tobacco, and black truffle can also be found, leading to a velvety, sweet fruit profile and a powerful, silky, complex finish.
🍴 Food pairing suggestions: An ideal match for roast meats, game, truffle dishes, and aged cheeses. It also pairs wonderfully with beef, lamb, and pasta.
🥂 Event suggestions: A truly special wine, perfect for significant celebrations, gourmet dinners, or any occasion demanding a powerful and complex red.
