The 2021 Keller Westhofener Brunnenhäuschen Abtserde Riesling Auslese hails from a vintage that, despite a cool and wet summer, saw excellent harvest conditions from September onwards, allowing for the production of all quality levels, including Auslese. Keller's 2021 wines are described as ripe yet light and perfectly balanced, especially from top growers. This particular Auslese is a dessert-style Riesling, known for its lush and balanced character. Tasting notes for Keller's Abtserde Rieslings often highlight a superb array of pink grapefruit, blood orange, pure limestone minerality, dried flowers, and citrus zest, leading to a complex, full-bodied palate with stunning mineral-driven acidity and a long finish. Bittersweet floral and herbal elements, like lavender, thyme, and licorice, are also typical, alongside white peach and grapefruit notes. 【 Jancis Robinson has described Keller's Rieslings as the "Montrachets of Germany" 】
🍴 This lush and balanced dessert Riesling is an ideal partner for fruit-based desserts. It can also beautifully complement lighter, creamy cheeses or foie gras.
🥂 An exquisite choice for a celebratory dessert course, a special occasion, or as a luxurious apéritif to truly impress.
