The 2021 Domaine François Bertheau Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru "Les Charmes" is a red Burgundy wine made from Pinot Noir, showcasing the hallmark elegance of a fine Chambolle. The vintage displays a spicy essence of red Pinot fruit and discreet floral nuances. On the palate, it offers slightly better volume with succulent, rich, and attractively textured medium-bodied flavors, concluding with a bitter pit fruit-suffused finish. Some tasters note a translucent appearance and a nice floral nose, with dark, slightly tart fruit and sour cherry tones, a very savory taste, and a good texture, suggesting it's a serious wine that needs time. Other notes include crunchy red fruits and a crushable quality. Community reviews mention red fruit notes like strawberry, cherry, and raspberry, along with earthy notes of forest floor and leather, and oaky notes of vanilla and nutmeg. 【 Hallmark elegance of a fine Chambolle 】
🍴 Food pairing suggestions include roasted lamb, roasted free-range chicken, and roasted veal, as the dense and silky tannins of Chambolle-Musigny wines, especially from Premier Cru, beautifully complement these dishes. It also pairs well with mild or soft cheeses, where the wine's aromas combine with the cheese flavors to create a more captivating taste.
🥂 This wine is suitable for special dinners, celebrations, or as a thoughtful gift for a Burgundy enthusiast. Its elegant profile makes it perfect for occasions where a refined red wine is appreciated. Young wines are best served at 12-14°C, while older wines are best at 14-16°C.
