FEATURES
The 2022 vintage in Burgundy was marked by abundance and excellence after several challenging years. Pierre Olivier Garcia's Nuits-Saint-Georges Les Charmois 2022 is a testament to this, showcasing a ripe, silky, and beautifully balanced profile. The producer is known for their 'eco-attitude' and pioneering 'baie-par-baie' (berry by berry) destemming process, which enhances aromas and complexity. This wine offers an intensely expressive nose of precise cherry fruit intermingled with delicate floral aromas, with a palate that delivers the characteristic power of Nuits-Saint-Georges, velvety tannins, and refreshing acidity. 【Pioneering 'baie-par-baie' technique】.
This Nuits-Saint-Georges would be an excellent pairing for roasted poultry, game birds, or beef dishes. Its vibrant acidity and fine tannins will cut through richer flavors beautifully.
Perfect for a special dinner, a gathering with fellow wine enthusiasts, or as a sophisticated gift. Its balance and elegance make it suitable for both immediate enjoyment and further cellaring.
BACKGROUND
Originally named Moron-Garcia, Domaine Pierre-Olivier Garcia is located in Burgundy, France. The primary grape varieties are Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. It was co-founded in 2016 by childhood friends Mathieu Moron and Pierre-Olivier Garcia. The inspiration came from Pierre-Olivier Garcia's father, Jean-Pierre Garcia, a renowned geologist at the University of Burgundy, who gifted him a vineyard in the village of Nuits Saint Georges called "Les Charmois," spanning just 0.4 hectares. Subsequently, Mathieu and Pierre-Olivier purchased a house in the center of Nuits Saint Georges, which they converted into a winery and cellar, marking the beginning of the domaine's history.
