FEATURES
The Haart Wintricher Ohligsberg Riesling Trocken GG 2015 is a spectacular Grosses Gewächs from the historic Ohligsberg vineyard in Mosel, Germany. This vineyard, a steep, south-west facing slope with blue and grey slate stones mixed with quartz, has vines planted as early as 1925 for the grand cru bottling. The 2015 vintage saw low yields, resulting in concentrated flavors, though some dry wines from this year showed botrytis influence. The grapes are hand-picked and fermented with indigenous yeasts in traditional oak barrels, then aged on their full lees for six months. 【A spectacular Grosses Gewächs from the historic Ohligsberg vineyard, known for its concentrated fruit, zesty acidity, and remarkable aging potential.】
This wine is hailed as one of the best dry wines from the producer, packed with grapefruit, fresh, and dried herb aromas. The nose is aromatic and fresh, showcasing white and yellow fruits, especially pineapple and lemons. On the palate, it's a classic Middle-Mosel Riesling: rich, aromatic fruit, yet delicate and light, with a zesty acidity. It's deep, full-bodied, and focused, with an excellent core, a fine girdle of acidity, and a very long, mineral, and pure finish, revealing notes of grapefruit, tart orange, petrol, wild yeasts, and slate.
🍴 This dry Riesling is a wonderful companion for seafood, grilled fish, and white meat. After a few years of cellaring, aged Riesling becomes a delicious match for a wide variety of dishes.
🥂 This Grosses Gewächs is perfect for a sophisticated dinner, a celebratory occasion, or for cellaring to enjoy its evolving complexity over the next 10-15 years. It's a wine that demands attention and rewards patience.
