FEATURES
The 2017 Pauillac de Latour is the third wine from the esteemed Chateau Latour, a property actively transitioning towards 100% biodynamic practices for its grand vin, demonstrating a significant commitment to environmental stewardship. The 2017 vintage experienced a slight impact from frost, particularly affecting some of the Pauillac vineyard plots. Chateau Latour has notably shifted its release strategy, now holding wines in its cellars and releasing them only when they are deemed ready for their optimal drinking window. This wine presents a deep purple colour with red nuances. The nose is very expressive with pleasant fresh fruit tones, while the palate is marked by freshness and an approachable fruit expression, though not exceptionally long. Expect spicy currants, a fresh, bright, and crisp profile, with a peppery, crunchy, cassis-filled finish, complemented by hints of orange rind and spicy chocolate. It also offers intense aromas of crème de cassis, sea buckthorn, liquorice, orange zest, and herbal savouriness. Medium-bodied with subtle floral notes, red berries, fine tannins, and a mineral character, it is already developing well. This wine can be enjoyed now, with a drinking window extending from 2023 to 2037. 【Third wine of the iconic Chateau Latour, moving towards 100% biodynamic practices】
