Despite its name, "Blanches Fleurs" (white flowers), this is indeed a red Pinot Noir. Tasting notes reveal an intensely purple color, with a complex nose of blue Pinot fruits, cardamom, and macerated dark cherries. The palate is pliant yet concentrated and intense, boasting a gorgeous sap in the mid-palate, excellent acid-sugar balance, and a persistent finish. Expect aromas of red cherry, raspberry, rose petal, subtle earthy spice, and hints of forest floor and mineral complexity. It offers a silky and focused texture with fine-grained tannins, bright acidity, and a long, precise finish.
This elegant red 布根地 pairs beautifully with lighter red meats, such as roasted duck breast, as well as sophisticated mushroom dishes or a selection of fine charcuterie.
As a young wine with excellent potential, it's recommended to wait a year or three for optimal enjoyment. However, it can also be enjoyed young, especially if given a generous 24 hours of aeration, as it's described as a "vin de soif" (thirst-quenching wine) that's perfect for sharing with friends who appreciate lively Pinot Noir.
