🏰 The 2007 Valentini Trebbiano d'Abruzzo is considered a masterpiece of winemaking and by some, the "most interesting wine at the Valentini estate." This wine is renowned for its exceptional longevity, capable of lasting ten, even twenty years in great vintages. It presents a beautiful straw yellow with golden nuances. The bouquet is complex, with hints of ripe fruit, white chocolate, vanilla, and mineral notes. Expect notes of annurca apple and wild flowers, subtle scents of green olive paste and Regina Claudia plums. The palate is subtle, elegant, almost biting to the tongue, with a salty, tartaric acidity that makes the wine essential and focused. It's dry and full of preserved lemons, minerals, smoke, and thyme. While initially aromatically shut down, it gradually reveals hints of damp earth with air. 【 One of the best great Mediterranean whites of all time, capable of lasting decades 】
🍴 This unique Trebbiano d'Abruzzo is an excellent pairing for mushrooms and is famously superb with spaghetti alla bottarga. It also complements rich seafood, white meats, and aged Pecorino cheese.
🥂 A pleasure to drink anytime, especially with a slight chill. This wine is suitable for a sophisticated meal, a wine tasting focused on unique and age-worthy whites, or as a prized collectible for those who appreciate its remarkable evolution.
