FEATURES
🏰 The 1997 vintage for Alsace Riesling produced terrific, clean, and racy wines. Trimbach's Cuvée Frédéric Émile is a benchmark for Alsace Riesling, known for its exceptional quality and aging potential. This wine rests in the cellar for several years before release, allowing it to develop complexity. 【Classic Alsace Riesling, mature and elegant】
🍴 This Riesling Cuvée Frédéric Émile 1997 is currently in a beautiful, fully mature state. It offers an evolved and layered nose with hallmark petrol/kerosene over flinty minerality, preserved lemon, orange peel, quince, dried apricot, brioche, and white truffle. The palate is dry yet big and rich, medium-full and silky, with structural acidity and chalky minerality. It pairs wonderfully with meaty and oily fish, shellfish, poultry, Asian cuisine, fusion dishes, and seared foie gras.
🥂 This is an ideal wine for fine dining, a sophisticated dinner party, or a celebration where a mature, complex white wine is desired. It is drinking beautifully now and likely has a couple more years of optimal enjoyment.
BACKGROUND
Trimbach is one of the oldest wineries in the French wine region of Alsace, dating back to 1626. Alongside Riesling, Trimbach has a range of classic Alsace varieties planted in its vineyards, including Sylvaner, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Blanc, Muscat and Pinot Noir. The portolio covers a range of styles, but dry, ageworthy wines with great minerality are Trimbach's specialty. The house makes a few Vendages Tardives and Selection de Grains Nobles wines, as well as some Eaux-de-Vie.
