FEATURES
🏰The 2010 Jamet Cote Brune is a 【profound expression of Côte-Rôtie, hailed as a Rhône masterpiece and one of the best young Syrahs ever tasted】. This wine displays a deep garnet hue and offers a rich aromatic profile of smoked meat, black olives, and dark berries, with notes of berry pie, multicolored cracked peppercorns, and abundant florals. The palate is a harmonious blend of power and elegance, with silky tannins and vibrant acidity weaving through dense, savory flavors. Critics note its killer liqueured crushed berry fruits, saline olive, blood iron, smoked cherry wood exotics, and pureness. While still youthful and needing time to fully unfurl, it promises perfection with further aging.
🍴 This powerful and complex Syrah is an exceptional match for robust dishes. Consider grilled meat, bacon, roasted game, peppered steak, or slow-braised lamb. It also pairs beautifully with black olive tapenade or rich mushroom dishes.
🥂 Ideal for a serious tasting, a special celebration, or as a cornerstone for a Northern Rhône collection. This wine is built for the long haul and will reward patient cellaring for another decade or more.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Jamet is a renowned wine producer located in Ampuis, at the heart of the northern Rhône wine region in France, celebrated for its traditional Cote Rotie wines. The estate spans about seven hectares (17 acres) of vineyards, scattered across small plots in the Côte Brune and Côte Blonde areas of Côte Rotie. Predominantly, the vineyards are planted with Syrah, complemented by minor plantings of Marsanne, Viognier, and Roussanne. Founded by Joseph Jamet in 1950. By 1976, Domaine Jamet started bottling its own wines. After Joseph retired, his sons Jean-Luc and Jean-Paul ran the estate. Currently, Jean-Paul and Corinne Jamet oversee the domaine, joined by their son Loïc since 2015.
