🏰A vibrant Dolcetto d'Alba from Accomasso, known for its bright fruit and food-friendly character, this 2010 vintage offers an approachable yet elegant expression of Piedmont. Dolcetto, meaning 'little sweet one,' produces wines that are fresh and dry with a slight tartness. This wine presents a ruby and garnet color, with a fruity bouquet of 【bright aromas of blueberry and fresh plum, subtle spices, and a hint of black pepper】. The palate is rich in red fruit, with a soft mineral background and a dry, light almond finish.
🍴 An incredibly versatile food wine, it pairs effortlessly with tomato-based pastas, grilled or roasted meats (chicken, pork chops, sausages), and casual pizzas. It's also excellent with a variety of cheeses and antipasti, mushroom dishes, or even Moroccan braised chicken.
🥂 Perfect for everyday meals, rustic traditional dishes, casual gatherings, or a relaxed dinner with friends. Serve at 16°C (57-61°F) to best enjoy its fresh character.
BACKGROUND
Lorenzo Accomasso is a cult, traditionalist winemaker in La Morra, Piedmont. While famous for his Barolo, his Dolcetto d'Alba is equally revered, crafted with long macerations to produce a deeply colored, structured, and age-worthy expression of the grape.
