FEATURES
🏰 Alexandre Grimée is a young artisan Champagne producer, cultivating a single 1-hectare plot of Pinot Meunier in Bonneil, Vallée de la Marne, called "Sous les Trous," planted in 1973. He is committed to organic viticulture and an artisanal approach, aiming to reveal the identity of the Meunier grape. This Brut Nature (zero dosage) Champagne is known for its purity and terroir expression. Only a limited number of bottles are produced, highlighting its rarity. This Champagne often opens with lightly sherbety notes of lemon and lime, developing a leathery, metallic edge, growing angular and idiosyncratic. The palate is cleanly lemony and direct with blazing acidity, dense but not broad, with a sturdy, chalky frame. Other notes include ripe apple, fresh pear, candied citrus, delicate spice, apricot, bruised apple, cherry-driven fruit, iodine, almond, nuttiness, and toast. It's a Champagne of character, deep and lively. 【 Rare, single-parcel, 100% Meunier Brut Nature 】
🍴 Pairs well with rich fish (salmon, tuna), mild and soft cheeses, shellfish (crab, lobster), and smoky, complex vegetable dishes, possibly Mediterranean. It also works well with starters and desserts.
🥂 An excellent choice for adventurous Champagne lovers seeking a unique, terroir-driven experience. Ideal for intimate gatherings, as an aperitif, or to spark conversation among connoisseurs. Its distinctive character makes it a memorable addition to any special occasion.
