🏰The 2021 Joseph Drouhin Chambolle Musigny 1er Cru is a testament to the vintage's 【harmonious and elegant reds, showcasing a classic Burgundian style with fruitiness and freshness despite being one of Burgundy's smallest harvests】. This wine is often described with 'fine lace and silk,' revealing complex aromas of violet, black cherry, damp earth, and notes of truffle and game as it matures.
🍴 This refined red Burgundy pairs beautifully with lighter meats like pork loin, rabbit, and various game birds or poultry. It's also excellent with liver, kidney, pasta, risottos, and soft cheeses like Camembert or Brie.
🥂 Ideal for an elegant dinner, a romantic evening, or a special gathering where the finesse of a classic Burgundy is desired. It has an optimal consumption window of 10 to 20 years and an aging potential of up to 25 years.
BACKGROUND
Joseph Drouhin is one of Burgundy's most important wine producers, France. The primary grape variety is Pinot Noir, with a small portion being Chardonnay. Founded in Beaune in 1880, the domaine has expanded throughout the 20th Century to include vineyards in Chablis, the Côte de Nuits, the Côte de Beaune and the Côte Chalonnaise, making everything from simple, village-level cuvées to highly priced grand cru and premier cru wines from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
