🏰 The 2020 Y. Clerget Corton Le Rognet Grand Cru is a promising young Burgundy, representing a vintage that was generally early and of good quality. Corton Le Rognet Grand Cru is known for producing powerful and age-worthy Pinot Noir. Expect a wine with a 【beautiful ruby color and a frank, concentrated nose of small black fruits, particularly sour cherry, complemented by lightly smoky and spicy nuances like black pepper】. The palate is fresh with a solid, opulent body and present but well-integrated tannins, leading to a nice length in the mouth. This wine is designed for aging, promising to evolve beautifully over time.
🍴 This powerful red Burgundy calls for equally robust and rich dishes. It pairs wonderfully with feathered or furred game, such as hare stew, venison, or coq au vin. Roasted or sauced meats like Tournedos Rossini or pan-seared rack of pork would also be excellent. For cheese lovers, full-flavored, strong rind-washed or blue cheeses like Ami du Chambertin, Epoisses, or Livarot are ideal companions.
🥂 An excellent choice for a celebratory dinner, a special occasion that calls for a serious red wine, or for cellaring to enjoy its future evolution. This wine is best served at 15-16°C (59-61°F) and has a laying down potential of 5-25 years.
