🏰 The 2010 Anne Gros Haute Côte de Nuits is a delightful red Burgundy, crafted from Pinot Noir grapes grown in the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits appellation. Domaine Anne Gros is renowned for producing wines that are intimately tied to the elegant, poised character of wines from Vosne-Romanée, despite this particular cuvée coming from a newer appellation formed in 2000. The vineyards are located at an altitude of 400m with an east exposure, contributing to a balanced texture and relatively precocious ripening. The 2010 vintage in Burgundy was generally considered very good, producing wines with freshness, good acidity, and fine structure, allowing for both enjoyable early drinking and graceful aging. 【 From a renowned producer known for elegant, Vosne-Romanée-like character 】. This wine explodes with red berry aromas, such as red cherries, pomegranate, and red plum, often complemented by light herbs and pepper. It offers an earthy, tangy, juicy profile with good acid-fruit balance. Its moderate acidity makes it approachable for drinking young, but it also possesses the structure to evolve.
🍴 This versatile red Burgundy pairs beautifully with roast poultry like chicken or guinea fowl, veal or pork tenderloin with light jus, duck breast with red-fruit sauce, and mushroom-based dishes or risottos. It also complements soft-rind cheeses, aged local French cheese, charcuterie, and pork sausages with herbs.
🥂 Ideal for refined yet relaxed meals with friends, Burgundy-themed tastings, or as a versatile bottle for gastronomic bistro-style cuisine. It's also an excellent aperitif that awakens the taste buds, perfect for enjoying its fruity character in its youth.
