🏰The Faiveley Corton Clos des Cortons Grand Cru 2019 is a flagship red Pinot Noir from Domaine Faiveley, a monopole owned by the family since 1874, and is celebrated as one of Burgundy's most exceptional wines. The 2019 vintage is lauded for its outstanding quality and balance, despite lower volumes, making it an excellent candidate for cellar aging. It presents a shining ruby robe with delicate violet reflections, and a powerful, concentrated bouquet revealing 【black cherry and spice aromas】. The palate is lively, full, and generous, showcasing a beautiful harmony between structure and aromatic expression, with critics noting cassis, wild berries, warm spices, orange rind, rose petals, espresso roast, and sweet soil tones.
🍴 This superb Grand Cru pairs perfectly with semi-cooked foie gras with armagnac, game, quails, partridge, or characterful cheeses such as Cîteaux or Reblochon. It's also an ideal match for roasted duck, goose, and other game birds.
🥂 A superb choice for a gourmet dinner, a special celebration, or a serious Burgundy tasting. Its impressive aging potential also makes it a highly desirable addition to any discerning collector's cellar.
