🏰The 2020 Morey-Coffinet Meursault 1er Cru Perrieres is a 【stunningly good Chardonnay from Meursault's most elegant climat】, crafted by Thibault Morey who produces a very classy range. This biodynamic wine is characterized by cool, airy minerality, with restrained aromas of 【mineral reduction, acacia blossom, lemon-lime, exotic tea (especially jasmine), and a hint of tangerine peel】. The dense, almost thick and unctuous, medium-bodied plus flavors possess unusually good power for Perrières, wrapped in a hugely long, bitter citrus-inflected, stony, and tightly wound finale.
🍴 This white Burgundy pairs beautifully with roasted chicken with herbs, pan-seared scallops, rich fish like turbot or halibut, or creamy mushroom dishes.
🥂 An excellent choice for a sophisticated dinner, a special occasion, or a tasting focused on premier cru Burgundy whites. Serve chilled at 12-14°C (54-57°F). Decanting for 30-60 minutes can help it open up.
