Albert Bichot, Clos Vougeot Du Clos Frantin Grand Cru, 1986
Red
750ml
Label : Very Slightly Bin Stained Label
Level : Neck Level Filled
🏰 The 1986 Albert Bichot Clos Vougeot du Clos Frantin Grand Cru is a 【rare and venerable expression from one of Burgundy's most famous Grand Cru vineyards】. While 1986 was a challenging vintage in Burgundy, a Grand Cru from a top producer like Albert Bichot can still offer a fascinating journey into the past.
🍇 Expect complex tertiary aromas of forest floor, dried leaves, mushroom, and leather, with hints of faded red fruit. The palate, now fully mature, will likely show more structure and acidity than primary fruit, revealing the delicate evolution of aged Pinot Noir.
🍴 This aged Burgundy is a superb choice for classic pairings such as roasted game birds, rich mushroom risotto, truffle dishes, coq au vin, or a fine aged Comté cheese.
🥂 A magnificent choice for a special occasion, celebrating a milestone year, or for a connoisseur of mature Burgundy. This wine requires extreme care due to its age; the cork may be fragile. Decant very gently to separate any sediment, allowing the wine to breathe for a short period (30-60 minutes) to open up without losing its delicate aromas. Serve slightly below room temperature (16-18°C). Be prepared for potential bottle variation and the delicate nature of older corks and capsules.
