🏰 The 2013 Monteviejo Lindaflor La Violeta Malbec, from the Uco Valley in Mendoza, Argentina, is a robust and aromatic wine. This 100% Malbec was crafted by Henri Parent, owner of La Violette in Pomerol, and was intentionally aged in cellars for eight years before its release in September 2022 to optimally display its aging potential. Decanter awarded it 95 points, noting its intense fragrance and ripe black fruit profile.
🍴 This Malbec pairs excellently with red meat due to its robust structure and lovely acidity. It also goes well with steak pasta.
🥂 This wine is perfect for a sophisticated dinner party, especially with grilled or roasted red meats. Its aging potential also makes it a valuable addition for collectors. It's perfectly ready to be enjoyed now.
It has a deep garnet-black color, needing coaxing to reveal flamboyant notes of stewed black plums, blackberry pie, blueberry compote, violets, Chinese five spice, vanilla pod, and licorice. The palate is full-bodied, rich, and decadent, with firm yet plush tannins and sufficient acidity to support the dense, opulent fruit, finishing with great length. Some evolution with a faint cigar box note is starting to emerge. James Suckling scored it 94 points, highlighting blue fruit, cassis, hot stones, mocha, pine, and orange peel on the nose, with a creamy, melting tannin texture and a mineral finish. Tastingbook notes an intense purple color with a black core, a rich nose of ripe blackberries, black cherries, prunes, damson tarte, dark chocolate, and mild spices, and a complex palate with perfectly matured tannins. 【 經八年窖藏後釋出,展現極佳陳年潛力與波爾多風土影響 】
