🏰 The 2017 vintage in Burgundy was generally considered very good for white wines, offering a balance of ripeness and freshness. Anne Boisson's Meursault Sous La Velle 2017 is expected to embody the classic characteristics of this esteemed appellation. Meursault wines are celebrated for their rich, opulent texture, often displaying notes of ripe yellow fruit, toasted nuts, butter, and a distinctive minerality. This particular bottling, from a favorable vintage, should offer both immediate pleasure and excellent aging potential, allowing its complex layers to unfold beautifully over time. 【 A classic Meursault from a highly regarded white Burgundy vintage. 】
🥂 This elegant white Burgundy is perfect for a sophisticated dinner, a special celebration, or a refined gathering where a premium white wine is appreciated. It's versatile enough for both formal and intimate settings.
🍴 Meursault's richness and complexity make it an ideal partner for a variety of dishes. It shines with rich fish preparations like pan-seared scallops, grilled lobster, or turbot in a creamy sauce. Poultry dishes, especially roasted chicken with herbs or veal in a white cream sauce, are also excellent pairings. For cheese, consider aged Comté or other firm, nutty cheeses that can stand up to the wine's intensity.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Pierre Boisson/Anne Boisson is a family winery. The winery is run by father Bernard (retired in 2016), son Pierre and daughter Anne. Although it is the same winery, the wines produced by the three people will be labeled separately. on their respective names. They jointly own 8.5 hectares of land around the Cote de Beaune, and the vineyard's terroir is wet stone and flint, giving the grapes more minerality.
