🏰 The 2024 Alain Graillot Crozes Hermitage Blanc is an early release from a future vintage, already available for purchase, highlighting its immediate appeal. This elegant white Rhône is a blend of 80% Marsanne and 20% Roussanne, often bottled under screwcap to preserve its freshness. Alain Graillot is celebrated for crafting wines that are a favorite among many wine journalists. The winemaking process involves blocking malolactic fermentation to maintain its crisp character, and the domaine practices organic viticulture. 【Favorite Rhône white of many wine journalists】
On the nose, expect attractive apricot and wild flower aromas. The palate is fresh and mineral-edged, with subtle white peach flavors and a clean, dry finish. It can also present notes of lemon, yellow apple, and pear. Some expressions reveal a distinctive style with earthy tugs of truffle and beeswax atop lemon cream and pear, leading to a salty and savory medium-bodied finish with hints of green almond, herbs, and paraffin.
🍴 This versatile white wine is an excellent pairing for chicken and turkey, as well as various white fish dishes. It also complements seafood, sushi, sashimi, crab, and lobster beautifully.
🥂 Best enjoyed young, ideally within four years of its vintage, this 2024 Crozes Hermitage Blanc is perfect for immediate gratification. It's an ideal choice for casual gatherings, seafood dinners, or as a refreshing aperitif, offering a vibrant and expressive experience.
