FEATURES
🏰 The "Cuvée privée du Château La Gaffelière 2009" is an absolutely spectacular effort, considered one of the all-time great La Gaffelières produced, with Robert Parker awarding it 95+ points. The 2009 vintage in Bordeaux was highly acclaimed, known for producing rich, opulent, and concentrated wines. This wine, from an ancient, historic vineyard, reveals compelling elegance, tremendous intensity, and opulence, with more viscosity than typically seen. It's composed primarily of Merlot (80%) and Cabernet Franc (20%). Aromatically, it's dominated by notes of kirsch, licorice, incense, truffle, asphalt, blackberry, and cassis. The palate is full-bodied, viscous, fabulously pure, and flamboyant. It presents a silky texture with refined fig and blackcurrant jam notes, followed by underwood flavors, and a long, well-balanced finish. While attractive now, it has the potential to age for 3-4 decades. 【 Robert Parker 95+ points, one of the all-time great La Gaffelières 】
