🏰The 2022 Anne Gros Clos Vougeot Grand Cru, from a respected family-run estate known for meticulous vineyard care and elegant Pinot Noir expressions, is a wine of 【impressive fullness and power】. This Grand Cru displays a luminous ruby hue and offers aromas of ripe red cherries, blackberries, and violets, interwoven with hints of earthy underbrush and subtle spice. On the palate, it is refined yet powerful, with silky tannins supporting flavors of red and dark berries, fine mineral undertones, and nuanced oak. It is medium to full-bodied, presenting excellent depth and energy, leading to a long, graceful finish accented by floral and savory notes. The wine's power, sometimes a bit austere, is tempered by ripe tannins, moving across the tongue with harmony and fullness.
🍴 This exceptional Clos Vougeot pairs beautifully with herb-crusted rack of lamb, wild mushroom risotto, or aged Comte cheese. Richer dishes like roasted red meat with berries or fruit, red meat in sauce, or game with sorrel are also excellent choices.
🥂 An ideal wine for significant celebrations, a sophisticated dinner, or as a prized addition to a serious collector's cellar. It has excellent aging potential, and while enjoyable young, it will continue to evolve beautifully over many years.
