Anne Gros, Bourgogne Rouge, 2007
Red
750ml
label : Very Slightly Stained Label
level : Neck Level
🏰 The 2007 Anne Gros Bourgogne Rouge is a charming expression of Pinot Noir from a vintage that, while "less-than-hailed," still yielded pleasing wines. Anne Gros is renowned as one of Burgundy's top winemakers, inspiring a cult-like following for her wines. This regional red Burgundy is often described as "bursting with fruit" and "very Pinot." Tasting notes suggest "attractive raspberry, earthy notes," with good acidity and balance. Some reviewers found it surprisingly dark for an '07 Bourgogne, with dark fruit and a hint of Vosne spice. Barrel aging in 30% new oak provides weight and suppleness, softening the tannins. 【 From a top Burgundy winemaker with a cult following 】
🍴 This versatile red Burgundy pairs well with white and red meats, whether roasted or cooked in wine sauces, charcuterie, and soft cheeses. It's also an excellent match for slow-cooked pork shoulder, poultry in creamy sauces, or braised dishes like veal stew.
🥂 Ideal for everyday enjoyment, casual dinners, or a relaxed gathering with friends. Its approachable style and fruit-forward character make it a crowd-pleaser.
