🏰 【A highly-rated 2022 Grand Cru from Clos Saint-Denis, praised for its impressive purity and potential for a decade of development.】 The 2022 vintage in Burgundy is noted for its beautifully defined bouquet and impressive purity, offering sweet red berries, cherries, blood orange, rose petals, and spices. This wine presents a captivating blend of ripe dark berries like blackberry and raspberry, intertwined with delicate floral notes, hints of spice, and a subtle earthiness. It is medium to full-bodied with silky tannins and bright acidity, leading to a fresh and focused palate with layers of dark fruit, licorice, and minerality, culminating in a long finish with a spicy, mineral edge.
🍴 This Grand Cru perfectly complements roasted meats, game, and rich French cuisine. Consider pairing it with roasted lamb, beef tenderloin, wild mushroom dishes, or an aged Gruyère.
🥂 Ideal for special occasions or long-term cellaring, this wine promises to develop beautifully over the next decade.
BACKGROUND
Domaine Amiot Servelle is a leading wine producer based in the village of Chambolle-Musigny in Burgundy's Côte d'Or district, with seven hectares (17 acres) of Pinot Noir vines. This includes vines from six premier vineyards. The company produces a range of wines from the region's top vineyards, including wines from the renowned Les Amoureuses vineyard, dominated by Pinot Noir. The history of the winery can be traced back to the 1920s. The owner's grandfather began planting grape vines in the village, and his parents also founded a winery. The owner himself founded Domaine Amiot-Servelle in 1989.
