Amiot Servelle, Chambolle Musigny Les Borniques 1er Cru, 2021
🏰From the esteemed Amiot Servelle, this 2021 Chambolle-Musigny Les Borniques 1er Cru hails from a challenging yet potentially rewarding 布根地 (Burgundy) vintage, known for producing 【elegant, perfumed, and silky Pinot Noir】. While 2021 saw lower yields due to frost and hail, the resulting wines often boast 【fresh acidity and a pure red fruit profile】. Expect classic Chambolle-Musigny characteristics: a delicate yet complex bouquet of 【red berries, violets, and a hint of minerality】, with a palate that promises grace and a refined texture.
🍴 This exquisite red 布根地 (Burgundy) is a superb match for delicate dishes like roasted quail, pan-seared duck breast, or a wild mushroom tart. For an Asian pairing, consider steamed fish with ginger and scallions, or a light Cantonese-style braised chicken.
🥂 Perfect for an intimate dinner or a special occasion where elegance is key. As a very young 1er Cru, this wine will greatly benefit from cellaring for several years. If enjoying now, decant for 2-3 hours to allow its youthful charm to unfold. Serve at 16-18°C (60-64°F).
BACKGROUND
Domaine Amiot Servelle is a leading wine producer based in the village of Chambolle-Musigny in Burgundy's Côte d'Or district, with seven hectares (17 acres) of Pinot Noir vines. This includes vines from six premier vineyards. The company produces a range of wines from the region's top vineyards, including wines from the renowned Les Amoureuses vineyard, dominated by Pinot Noir. The history of the winery can be traced back to the 1920s. The owner's grandfather began planting grape vines in the village, and his parents also founded a winery. The owner himself founded Domaine Amiot-Servelle in 1989.
