Arrels del Priorat is a unique project founded by René Barbier (of Clos Mogador) and other passionate winemakers to preserve the traditional, historic wines of the Priorat region. 'Arrels' means 'roots' in Catalan. The 'Vi de Mare' (Mother Wine) is an extraordinary solera-aged wine, a style that was historically produced in Priorat before the modern dry red wine boom. This specific bottling contains wines with an average age of 30 years, primarily made from old-vine Garnacha. It is a deeply complex, oxidative, and slightly sweet wine, offering profound notes of dried figs, roasted nuts, caramel, and Mediterranean herbs.
