FEATURES
🏰 This 1996 Chateau La Louviere is a 【fine, mature Bordeaux from an emblematic Pessac-Leognan estate, offering a classic vintage experience】. The 1996 vintage is considered a classic, and this wine showcases wonderful ripeness, strong black fruit, and notes of stewed fig, cedar, pepper, mint, and Moroccan leather. Its tannins have softened beautifully, revealing a balanced structure. Expect a complex nose with graphite and leather, and flavors of black currant and Mongolian cherries, with a long finish. Some bottles may present a more austere, old-school style with sour cherry and cedar. 🍴 This mature red Bordeaux is an ideal partner for rich, savory dishes. Pair it with roast leg of lamb, venison stew, or duck breast with porcini mushrooms. It also excels with hard, aged cheeses like Comté, aged Cheddar, or Parmigiano-Reggiano. 🥂 Perfect for a special anniversary, a formal dinner, or a gathering of serious wine enthusiasts. For this older vintage, expect prominent tertiary aromas of leather, tobacco, forest floor, dried fruit, mushroom, and truffle. Remember to check the cork and capsule carefully. Decanting for an hour or two is highly recommended to allow the wine to breathe and fully express its complex character.
