🏰Domaine Jean Tardy et Fils, now led by Guillaume Tardy, is celebrated for crafting 【flashy, dense, and pure Pinot Noirs】 that beautifully express the Côte de Nuits terroir. This 2017 Nuits-Saint-Georges Au Bas de Combe Vieilles Vignes comes from a vintage that yielded charming, fruit-forward red Burgundies with good balance. The estate's commitment to traditional methods, including meticulous hand-harvesting and thoughtful oak aging, ensures wines of exceptional depth and complexity from their old vines. Expect concentrated dark fruit aromas, savory undertones, and firm yet integrated tannins, leading to a long, expressive finish that truly showcases the intensity of 'vieilles vignes'.
🍴 This structured Nuits-Saint-Georges is an excellent partner for roasted game birds like duck or pheasant, beef tenderloin, or rich mushroom-based dishes. It also pairs wonderfully with strong, aged cheeses such as Comté or Époisses.
🥂 Ideal for an elegant dinner, a special gathering with fellow wine enthusiasts, or for cellaring to allow its complexities to further unfold. This wine offers a rewarding experience for those who appreciate classic red Burgundy.
