Coche Dury, Puligny Montrachet Les Enseigneres, 2006
🏰 The 2006 vintage for white Burgundy, including Puligny-Montrachet, was marked by an erratic climate with a hot September followed by unexpected rainfalls, making skilled vineyard management crucial. Coche-Dury's Puligny-Montrachet Les Enseigneres 2006 is a stunning example, showcasing a beautiful balance of fresh acidity and ripe fruit. Expect an openly exotic and exuberant nose of peach, apricot, and a hint of mango, complemented by fresh, bright, and sweet flavors. It offers a weighty and powerful palate with a density and oily texture, reminiscent of top Montrachets, and is drinking wonderfully now but has no rush. This wine is in a great place for drinking right now.
🍴 This elegant white Burgundy pairs beautifully with rich seafood like grilled lobster or scallops, roasted chicken with herbs, or even more elaborate preparations such as foie gras.
🥂 Perfect for a sophisticated dinner party or a special celebration, this wine is ready to impress. Serve at 10-12°C (50-54°F) to best appreciate its complex aromas and flavors.
