🏰 【A rare and mature "zero dosage" Champagne, Louise Brison Cuvee Tendresse Zero 2003 showcases the purity and intensity of the challenging yet characterful 2003 vintage, offering a complex and savory evolved profile.】 The 2003 vintage in Champagne was exceptionally hot, leading to wines with unique ripeness and concentration. As a "zero dosage" (Brut Nature) Champagne, no sugar was added after disgorgement, highlighting the wine's natural acidity and terroir. This mature Champagne is expected to exhibit a rich, evolved profile with notes of dried fruits, toasted nuts, honey, and brioche, balanced by persistent acidity and pronounced minerality, delivering a complex and savory character.
🍴 This unique and contemplative Champagne is an excellent pairing for rich seafood like scallops or lobster, aged hard cheeses, charcuterie, poultry with creamy sauces, or earthy mushroom dishes. Its evolved complexity will complement a range of sophisticated flavors.
🥂 Ideal for connoisseurs, this Champagne is perfect for a special anniversary, a tasting focused on mature, low-dosage Champagnes, or any occasion demanding a truly distinctive and thought-provoking sparkling wine.
Serving Note: Serve well chilled, but not overly cold, around 8-10°C (46-50°F). No need for decanting.
BACKGROUND
Champagne Louise Brison is a family-owned estate located in the Aube region (Côte des Bar), currently run by Delphine Brulez. The estate is dedicated to organic viticulture and produces exclusively vintage Champagnes, aging them in oak barrels. 'Cuvée Tendresse Zero' is a zero-dosage (Brut Nature) Champagne, crafted to express the pure terroir of their vineyards. It is typically a blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, offering a crisp, bone-dry profile with vibrant acidity, notes of citrus, green apple, and a distinct chalky minerality.
